California has passed a second part of a DREAM Act which will allow undocumented students on a path to citizenship to receive state-funded financial aid in 2013. The law goes into effect January 1, 2013. The first part of the Act was passed in July and allows undocumented students to receive private scholarships for colleges. "Women, War & Peace"
A five-episode series entitled, "Women, War & Peace," will begin showing on PBS on Tuesdays, October 11, 2011 to November 8, 2011. The series depicts the roles of women in the war zones of Afghanistan, Bosnia, Colombia and Liberia. Narrators include: Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Geena Davis and Alfre Woodard.
